What We Support
Since our founding in 1970, the Friends have given more than $3,000,000 to the Boise Public Library for programming, branch library development, and collections.
The Friends provide more than $50,000 of support every year for the Summer Reading program, Kindergarten Readiness, Boise Comic Arts Festival, and more.
Prior Capital Projects:
2019 - $1,000,000 raised for the new Main Library (funds held while project is paused)
2017 - $100,000 for the branch at Bown Crossing
2015 - $500,000 for the branch at Bown Crossing
2008 - $150,000 for the branch at Cole & Ustick
2007 - $300,000 for the branches at Hillcrest and Collister
