What We Support

Since our founding in 1970, the Friends have given more than $3,000,000 to the Boise Public Library for programming, branch library development, and collections.

The Friends have provided thousands of dollars of support every year for programs like the Summer Reading program, Kindergarten Readiness, Boise Comic Arts Festival, and more.

 

Prior Capital Projects:

2019 - $1,000,000 raised for the new Main Library (funds held while project is paused)

2017 - $100,000 for the branch at Bown Crossing

2015 - $500,000 for the branch at Bown Crossing

2008 - $150,000 for the branch at Cole & Ustick

2007 - $300,000 for the branches at Hillcrest and Collister
